Proposition 1
All violations cause debts.
Someone has committed a disrespectful act against you, depriving you of something that was rightfully yours. It could be your sense of security, love, appreciation, perhaps something material, or sense of comfort, safety, your dreams. This act diminished you, robbed you—your self-esteem, your self-image.
Some violations cause more debt than others. The diminishment is perceived as larger:
if it involved someone close to you—the normal expectation of the heart is that you should expect honor from those close to you.
if the crime was public—or if it was premeditated.
if the violation was an accident, it could still feel like a great violation is the accident was obviously foreseeable.
depending upon the nature or absence of any apology or attempt at restitution
depending upon your freedom and platform to voice your pain and anger.
Every situation is unique—but this can be said, your heart has measured and weighed a debt. It is not only that someone did something to you, they also took something from you. This will need some emotional reprogramming on our parts to ‘get’.
