About

Pastor Bill Senyard, like the rest of us, is no stranger to the need to forgive. This site and related media is primarily born out of his struggles and multiple and creative failures in this area.

As a young lad, overweight and insecure, he was subjected to the usual suspects of bullies and jokes. In the 90s, a group of employees and supposed friends conspired together during– of all things– a company paid vacation for all employees families at a dude ranch– to steal almost all of the companies current customers. Bill and the other partners of the once promising and growing Inc 500 company, worth a couple of million bucks were thrown into virtual bankruptcy almost overnight– betrayed and robbed by former friends and co-workers.

As a Pastor, Bill has been the object of a surprising amount of slander, angry criticism, gossip, betrayal, lies, accusations, much of which has been by those who had been confidents and close friends.

Though myriads of books have been written on the topic of forgiveness, they virtually all say the same thing ultimately. In the end, the victim needs to just choose to forgive. No doubt, a choice needs to be made– but that alone is impotent and in many ways could be just as destructive as the initial violation. This blog and other forgiveness projects are born out of the search for a better way to forgive.

Bill is the Pastor of New Life Church at Five Points (Montgomeryville, Pa). He has a Masters in Divinity (Regent College, Vancouver) and a MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management (Evanston). He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry from Biblical Seminary (Hatfield). He is married to Eunice. They have three children.
